ill's interest in art began in his early youth when he took an interest in Walt Disney and the world of cartoons. His love of drawing continued through his Bill Reedteens, so it was natural that when he graduated from high school, he would begin his formal art training at Chouinard Art Institute, a college funded by Walt Disney. Fulfilling one of his earliest dreams, he began his animation career at the Walt Disney Studios in the mid-sixties, and worked on such classics as “Jungle Book”, and “Winnie the Pooh”.

For more than 30 years, Bill has been entertaining children and adults alike, working on hundreds of animated television series and theatricals as both an Animator and Director. Some of his favorites include “Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids”, “He Man” and “She Ra”, “The Chipmunks”, “Tom and Jerry”, “Cow and Chicken” and most recently, “My Little Ponies”. His contribution as Director on the Star Trek Series episode, “Sharper Than a Serpent’s Tooth”, led to Filmation Studio’s first ever Emmy Award, a Fantasy Film Federation Award, Robby Award, and a Melies Prize. Bill is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Although Bill’s training at Chouinard included painting, it was not until the late 1990’s, on an extended stay in Maui, that Bill was inspired to begin painting again. A surfer since his pre-teen years in San Diego, his paintings include a series of ocean surf scenes, as well as his “Young at Heart Series”, depicting whimsical characters that bring visual humor and life to some of the world’s favorite classical verses and rhymes.

Bill continues working for the studios, as well as painting at his home in Roseville, California.
